Short news videos in English and German. Every claim sourced.
What we do
EDITORS’ DESK explains current news in short videos: the essentials first, then the details, with quotes and positions of those involved.
How we check
- Every statement in a video is backed by a source. The main sources are listed in the video description.
- We trace claims back to the primary source, such as the draft bill, the press release or the parliamentary record.
- We only call something confirmed when at least five independent origins support it, including at least one primary source. For official documents we only confirm what they say (“the draft provides …”), not whether it is true. Everything else is attributed (“according to …”).
- Before publication, every sentence is checked against its sources and for legal issues, and every image is checked for whether it fits the content.
Artificial intelligence
The voices in our English and German videos are generated with artificial intelligence. They are designed voices, not modelled on any real person.
Research and drafting are also assisted by artificial intelligence. A human checks every claim against its sources and approves every release.
